Kumusta! Ako diay si John

I grew up in Davao City and have lived here my entire life. I speak Davao-Cebuano which is the kind of Cebuano that's easy to understand in all dialects of Cebuano.

I studied linguistics in college and have taught English to beginners for more than 4 years.

At first, my only goal in teaching Cebuano was to earn so I could finally stop working for corporate from which I felt burnt out.

As I continued teaching Cebuano, I realized the dire need for Cebuano content and learning materials. There aren't a lot of Cebuano teachers as well who fully grasp the concepts behind Cebuano language.

Because of that, I decided to make lessons to teach Cebuano to foreigners and fellow Filipinos outside the country.

While I still work as a Virtual Assistant for various clients all over the world through the wonders of the internet, I dream that someday, I can make my own language school to teach all the beautiful but dying languages of the Philippines.
